KSJ Monster Pub and Restaurant

I had followed a friend out to Bowmanville on an errand and stopped in at KSJ Monster Pub & Restaurant for a bite to eat. First impressions? Weird name. Clean interior with intimate lighting, attractive seating, and a nicely stocked long bar. Lots of TVs. Very nice.We were greeted by the lone server/bartender who brought us menus and told us all the specials of the day. I decided on the burger special - 8oz prime rib burger with cheese, bacon, and fries for only 10.00!The burger arrived open-faced, dressed with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. It looked good. It tasted really good! The burger patty was big and juicy, topped with two strips of bacon. It tasted pretty good! The fries were really good, with every one being nice and crispy. Great fries!For a completely random, unplanned visit, this was a very pleasant experience. The food was delicious, the ambiance was very nice, and the service was outstanding! We had the best time in this restaurant. The atmosphere and the seatings were more welcoming which also has the outdoor patio style seating. They have a big menu for lunch and dinner. Would definitely recommend trying the restaurant if you are around Bowmanville

I was recently there with a friend. We found the wait staff and owner very welcoming and friendly. We ordered one of their curry dishes, butter chicken and found it to be exactly as described. It was really flavourful and spicy. We thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as the owner was quite attentive and respectful. We will definitely return. Great covered patio as well.

We went for lunch it was so good and our server Shirley was super! So we decided to go back for supper and it was awesome with our server Heather going out of her way to make it even better and then we had a visit from the very friendly owner - great finishing of our evening.The following morning we just had to return to try out their breakfast. Once again....great service, nice presentation, very reasonable prices, acceptional food quality and a friendly chat with the owners.So sorry we didn't take any pictures to post. :(We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area!!Just Awesome! They deserve 5-Star Plus rating!!KUDOS to the entire team!!

Met here for a business meeting. It was quiet for a Monday at lunch which was great for us. Our server Rose was very kind and attentive. I had the fried chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. The sandwich was out of this world, I loved the pickle and there sauce. I would come back next time I'm back in the area. Well worth the trip .

Oh my gosh locals!!! Sooooo delicious fresh & unique!!! We started with Monster Fries as an appetizer!! So hot, spicy & yummy!!! Then I had the “Monster” signature Koththu!!! So delicious!! And service was great!! Can’t wait to come back & try other menu items!!

We decided to try this restaurant for lunch on their outdoor patio as it was a nice sunny Saturday afternoon.This restaurant has quite a large menu and I'm sure there is something for everyone. The waitress was friendly and helpful and we were seated and order taken shortly after arriving.One order was Chipotle Chicken Wrap with soup on the side. Both the wrap and the soup were quite good. The other order was Chicken & Shrimp Pad Thai and it was really good.I have attached pics although I apologize for pictures of partially eaten food (didn't think to do it until we'd been eating). The soup was cream of broccoli although you can't really tell from the picture of my empty bowl lol.The Manager/Owner/Chef stopped by to check if we were happy with the food and service and he seemed quite genuine in his interest.This restaurant has only been open for 2 weeks. The outdoor patio seems to be a permanent outdoor fixture which is nice as a lot of the outdoor patios at other restaurants that were around for 2 years of Covid restrictions are no longer there or functional. Inside the restaurant there are quite a few tables and a large bar.If you have any special requests, I am certain that if the Chef can, he will make every effort to accommodate them.So go ahead and try out this nice new restaurant with the large menu.

The english breakfast here is the best I would recommend with sweet pancakes, crepes to varieties of omelets and egg benedicts. We enjoyed the Nutella Banana crepe and The ULTIMATE egg omelet very much
